Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our team of construction professionals. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of carpentry techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Construction and Framing:
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan carpentry projects.
    • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, using carpentry tools and techniques.
  2. Installation:
    • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and built-in furniture.
    • Ensure precise measurements and alignments for accurate installations.
  3. Finishing and Detailing:
    • Apply finishes, such as paint or varnish, to protect and enhance the appearance of completed structures.
    • Add decorative details and trim work to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects.
  4. Repair and Maintenance:
    • Repair or replace damaged components of existing structures or fixtures.
    • Perform routine maintenance on carpentry tools and equipment.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other construction professionals, including architects and contractors, to ensure project specifications are met.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficient in the use of carpentry tools, including saws, drills, and measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship, vocational training, or certification in carpentry is preferred.
