Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled labourer to join our team. As a Skilled Labourer, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of our operations, contributing to the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate should have a diverse skill set, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction and Installation:
- Assist in the construction and installation of structures, components, or systems according to project specifications.
- Use hand and power tools proficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools at construction sites.
- Organize and maintain an inventory of tools and materials.
- Site Preparation:
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Assist in digging, trenching, or excavation activities as needed.
- Assistance to Tradespeople:
- Work closely with skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers, providing support as required.
- Follow instructions and learn new skills to contribute to various aspects of the project.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a skilled labourer in construction or a related field.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques and practices.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
